Date: 28 May 2011
Literature Forum: Poetry performance, readings, discussions at the Goethe Institut Library from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm. Free entry.
Amka is a space to listen to the voices of established and budding female writers - voices of women with a passion for the pen. It gives all women, heard and unheard, a chance to travel with the world into their most inner of thoughts, tell them things they have never had a chance to say before. It is a space to give these women audience, to love their work and critic it, to sit down over a cup of tea or coffee and enjoy the art of the hand and the pen but most importantly to give an ear to these ignored voices.
