Job description
- Produce well-written, clean hard and soft news copy on deadline.
- Cover all types of news stories, break stories and initiate own news diary.
- Produce accurate copy under tight deadlines.
- Take basic stories further with context and background.
- An appropriate journalism diploma or degree essential.
- Three-to-five years newspaper reporting experience.
- Good interviewing, reporting and writing skills.
- A good command of the English language.
- Ability to take news photographs advantageous.
- Own transport essential.
- Excellent current affairs and general knowledge.
