Edgemead educational software firm would like to employ a person with office computer skills to create early literacy curriculum material for our program. Must be quite competent with normal office-type use of a PC. We will train for the use of our software.
The work will consist of writing or editing controlled vocabulary text stories, plus creating spelling and reading comprehension modules. Also pictures, pop up arrows, sound effects and possibly animations or video can be added to the lessons. The sounds of letters, phonics, words and phrases need to be recorded in English and Afrikaans.
The successful applicant will likely have at least a matric and preferably further education and a clear speaking voice. Education and experience relating to writing, teaching or literacy is a plus. Experience with Adobe suite, 3d software, desktop publishing, or photo editing programs also would be a plus.
Hours are flexible and part-time work will be considered. This is a contract arrangement.
