We are a leading publisher of outdoor magazines in South Africa, and we’re on the hunt for qualified journalists.
We’re looking for two people who fit these criteria:
Applicants must be young, enthusiastic and hard-working, with a passion for the outdoors. Camping, off-roading and boating experience will definitely count in your favour.
You must have the ability to work well within a team, or as an individual; leadership qualities will be beneficial. The job will require occasional travel, sometimes solo, and sometimes across international borders.
Only those who are well-organised and have immense dedication to the task at hand will be considered. Going above and beyond the call of duty in this line of work will be rewarded. Punctuality, trustworthiness and loyalty, and how you present yourself, will be vital character traits taken into account. The ability to handle large workloads within a specific time frame is essential. In other words, you must be able to meet tight deadlines, and work under pressure!
The ability to speak, read and write fluently in English is vital. Having these abilities in Afrikaans will be to your benefit. A journalist qualification is mandatory. A thorough knowledge of photography, and/or formal training in this field, will certainly weigh heavily in your favour.
