Call for Artists (Poetry/ Storytelling/ Theatre): Bayimba International Festival of the Arts (Uganda)

During the past years, Bayimba Cultural Foundation has been able to establish itself as one of the leading organizations that has brought some significant dynamics to the Ugandan arts and culture sector. Yet, there is still a long way to go before the full potential of the Ugandan arts sector is realized, we are now preparing our 2012 season of activities. For this season we are currently issuing a number of calls for artists to participate in our activities and programmes as well as for team members to join our team.

If you are interested in participating in our 2012 season, you are kindly requested to download and submit this entry form. Bayimba Cultural Foundation will confirm receipt of your entry form. Our team will carefully assess the submission received and decide which artist/activity will be included in the 2012 season.

ABOUT THE BAYIMBA INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF THE ARTS

The 5th edition of the Bayimba International Festival of the Arts will again take place at the easily accessible Uganda National Cultural Center, from the 21st – 23rd September 2012.

As the most visible activity of Bayimba Cultural Foundation – the Bayimba International Festival of the Arts has become an important annual event on both national and regional social calendar. The Festival provides an exciting platform for artistic exchange – it puts cultural and modern dancers, local, regional and international musicians as well as other artists on one stage, sharing a diverse audience while exposing their dynamic and exciting artistic talents.

As a multidisciplinary Festival, the 5th edition will be organized with a focus to artistic installation with new and cutting age art forms.
