Sasa Media is looking for Editors for our new website, that will launch in May. You will be screening content from our network of freelance journalists, as well as producing content yourself. You will be a part of a team of editors, that will make sure our website always have the latest news.
We expect you to write fluent english, and to know how to compose an interesting story for our readers. You know how to fact-check a story, and know how to communicate with your sources.
You can give quality feedback to our freelancers, as well as communicate changes for their stories in a constructive manner. You can work as a part of a team, but are also a self-driven individual, capable of working without supervision. You take pride in your work, and don't take your responsibility lightly.
We expect that you are confident working with an online media, and are used to deadlines being every five minute, not once a day like a traditional newspaper. You are familiar with social medias, and feel the internet is your second home.
The work will be done from our offices in Nairobi, but our freelancers are based all around the country.
