The Million Writers Award for the year's best online short story is now open for nominations. For background information on the award, please see Jason's introduction to the award and the award rules. The award is for any fictional short story of at least a 1,000 words first published in an online publication during 2011. "Publication" means any magazine or journal with an editorial process (so self-published stories are not eligible). To nominate a story, use the following links:

The deadline for nominations is April 9, 2012. The list of notable stories of the year will be released around the first of May, and the top ten stories will be released about a month later. Voting on the top stories of the year will last for three weeks after the top ten stories are released.
