DIAMOND QUEEN ELIZABETH II: ESSAY COMPETITION

On the occasion of the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II on the throne, the Cameroon Chevening Association hereby launches an essay competition for Cameroonian children aged between 14 and 16 years on the topic:

"The British Monarchy from 1950 to 2012".

The essay exclusively in English should be at least 450 words but not more than 500 words. It should bring out the child’s knowledge about the reign of Her Royal Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and eventually relations between the United Kingdom and Cameroon during the period under review.

Each entry shall bear the following information about the writer: names, age, class, email address (if available), school address, home address with telephone number for eventual contact.

The deadline for receipt of typed or handwritten submissions is Friday 16th May 2012 at any of the following addresses:

The best three essays shall receive prizes and attestations co-signed by the Cameroon Chevening Association and the British High Commission to Cameroon on a date and at a venue to be announced later.

The Cameroon Chevening Association is the organisation of Cameroonian alumni of British universities whose studies were funded by grants of the United Kingdom government.
