24.com, based in Cape Town, requires an sub editor/content producer for South Africa's leading financial website, Fin24.
JOB OUTPUTS:
• Good knowledge of current affairs, business and economic news.
• Work on the CMS to edit and post articles on the website.
• Edit pictures and if necessary videos to post on the website.
• Source relevant articles for the website and when necessary verify information in articles - work on some Sundays and public holidays.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
• Must be versatile and flexible and adaptable to change.
• Must be able to perform under pressure.
• Detailed knowledge and understanding of social networking.
• Experience as a journalist is necessary.
• Planning and organisational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Must have a relevant tertiary qualification.
• At least three years' financial journalism experience.
• Must have a sound understanding and knowledge of the digital medium and an understanding of how to deliver online content in the SA environment.
