We are looking for an experienced sports writer, with the main focus being on football. We are a leading provider of local and international football content, from breaking news to full match coverage, to a variety of top football sites in the country.
This position will be best suited to someone who has experience in the high-pressure online environment and is willing to work irregular hours at times during the season.
The ideal candidate will be organised, hard-working and able to handle pressure.
When the final whistle goes at the end of a game, we have only a few minutes to get the stories posted - and accuracy is just as important as speed. This is a higher level position and will require some management of freelancers and the sites we work on.
This is an exciting position with tremendous growth opportunities.
We are looking for a candidate urgently and preference will be given to writers who are available to start immediately.
Please note, only experienced sports writers should apply as this position comes with responsibility and we need someone who can hit the ground running, not somebody who is only starting out in the sports arena and needs a lot of training.

REQUIREMENTS
• Diploma/degree in journalism or related course
• At least two years' experience in online sports writing
• A passion for football and a complete understanding of the sport and major players
