The Star Graduate Reporter Trainee Program (Kenya)

The fastest growing newspaper in Kenya is looking for young, fresh and talented graduates with a passion to grow their skills and career in print media to join its Graduate Trainee Program.

Reporting to various functional editors, the Trainee Reporter will be posted to various desks in the newsroom to obtain an all round reporting foundation. Upon completion of the training program the trainee reporter will be posted to a specific desk based on the end of traineeship evaluation. Women are highly encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

  • Degree in literature and/journalism
  • Graduated on or after 31 st December 2010
  • Excellent written and spoken command of the English language
  • Strong but simple writing style
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Ability to take good photographs is an advantage.
