A new healthy food title launching July is looking for an exciting and proactive deputy editor.
The candidate will drive the magazine's editorial strategy and be instrumental in overseeing the editing, writing and design of the magazines. This job will suit self-motivated people, with great can do attitude that are eager to develop in new areas. Being a team member is essential. The successful candidate will be expected to conceptualise and execute feature articles, including for the health and beauty sections of the magazine.
The ideal candidate should:
- Excellent grasp of the English language and a proven track record in magazine journalism (at least three years experience)
- Ability to plan and research, come up with ideas, suggestions and be able to stick to tight deadlines
- Ability to grow and develop the editorial content of the magazine is a must
- Have a good understanding of food and health
- Have the ability to conceptualise and execute inspiring, informative and practical features, including food and health features and promotional features tailor-made for advertisers' needs that stick to the magazine's recipe
Requirements
- Excellent writing, editing and proofing skills
- Excellent at working under pressure
- Have a keen eye for detail
- Computer literacy and familiarity with Indesign
- Happy to attend social functions - you understand the need to be seen as part of the role!
- Have a valid driver's licence.
