Job description
• Planning of a long-term strategy for the News and Information team in line with the company strategy
• Planning and running of daily news and information diary meetings
• Planning and ensuring the execution of special news-related projects
• Ensuring the regular updating of the Kaya FM website with the latest news, as well as breaking news on social media platforms
• Implementation of News and Information Policy and Style Guide
• Editorial supervision across multiple platforms
• Continued monitoring and evaluation of on-air and on-line product
• Managing the News and Information team with regards to shifts, leave and all other administrative duties
• Training of team members
• Compiling, controlling and monitoring team Budget
Requirements
• A Degree or Diploma in Journalism or a relevant qualification.
• Superior oral, written and news presentation skills
• A minimum of three years work experience in a news management role preferably in a commercial radio environment.
