OPPORTUNITY 1: Are you our next truth-seeking, story-finding, award-winning journalist?

Media24 is offering 25 bursaries to join the Journalism Honours Programmes at WITS, University of Stellenbosch, Rhodes University or North-West University. To be considered you must have acompleted undergraduate degree in any discipline.

How does it work?

1. You show us that you've completed an undergraduate degree in any discipline, with an academic average of at least 65% in your final year, and we'll consider your application (Final year students are also welcome).

2. The chosen 25 then head off to one of the Honours Programmes above, returning to the Media24 Mothership during vacations to work at some of our leading publications.

3. After you graduate from your 1 year studies, you'll be guaranteed entry to the Media24 Internship Programme, where you'll work full-time at the Media24 publication of your choice. Yes, you read right: you'll be starting your studies knowing that there's a job waiting for you on the other side.

Ideal journalism bursary applicant should:

* Have excellent writing skills (English and/or Afrikaans will be considered)
* Be able to work under extreme pressure and to strict deadlines
* Have high attention to detail
* Have good people skills
* Be curious, persistent and resilient
* Have questioning and listening skills
* Take initiative
* Have worked in any media (such as campus or community media)(advantageous)
* General Knowledge

Luckily for you, the media industry is about more than just words, which is why Media24 invites you to join our Graduates in Media Programme. This six-week intensive Graduates in Media Programme is designed to introduce you to the world of Media24, combining your expertise with our forward-thinking, constantly-evolving business.

How does it work?

1. Send us your details, confirming that you've completed (or are in your final year of) an undergraduate degree or diploma with good academic results
2. If you're one of the 20 selected graduates you'll head to Media24 for six weeks to work in multi-disciplinary teams on challenging business projects, offering innovations and solutions that will boost our business.

Impress us enough, and our business will become your business: the top 10 selected graduates will enter the Media24 Internship Programme in any of the business units across the company.

Ideal Graduates in Media Programme applicant should:

* Have excellent verbal and written communication skills (English and/or Afrikaans will be considered)
* Be able to work under extreme pressure and to strict deadlines
* Have high attention to detail

* Be persistent and resilient

* Have the ability to work independently as well as in a team
